Dr.Egammai graduated from the prestigious Tamilnadu Government Dental College and Hospital in 2007 and secured state 2 nd rank in the following Post graduate entrance examination to pursue her post graduation in Prosthodontics and Implantology from the same institution. She topped the post graduate university examinations too in 2011.
She has completed the masters program for immediate loading implantology under the International Implant Foundation, Munich, Germany and excelled in that too. Currently she is the only lady implantologist from South India to have become the IF teacher.

Dr.Egammai is also a consultant at Apollo Proton Cancer Centre as part of the Head and Neck Cancer Management Team. As her special interests include fixed rehabilitation for patients who have very less bone in jaw, surgically resected cases, mucormycosis treated patients, trauma cases.
She specialises in replacing the lost bone and teeth in such patients with immediate loading implants and fixed teeth in a span of 3 days.
